History

Hillside Rod & Gun Club of Blossburg was incorporated as a Nonprofit Corporation the 5th Day of April, 1948. The purposes and conditions for which they desired to be incorporated are:

  • First: That the name of the corporation is Hillside Rod & Gun Club of Blossburg.
  • Second: That the location and post office address of the office of said corporation is to be Blossburg, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
  • Third: That the purpose for which the corporation is formed is: social enjoyment, promoting good fellowship among its members, hunting and fishing, recreation, and the advancement of protection and conservation of fish, game and insectivorous birds in both state and Nation.
  • Fourth: The corporation is to exist perpetually.
  • The names and place of residences of the incorporators are:
  • Matthew Waddell, Hamilton Township
  • Charles Bogaczyk, Blossburg Borough
  • Fred Bogaczyk, Covington Township
  • Harold Franke, Blossburg Borough
  • John Boinske, Blossburg Borough
  • Clarence Schultz, Blossburg Borough
  • Millard Diehr, Blossburg Borough
  • Alfred Holcomb, Liberty Borough
  • Lewis Davies, Blossburg Borough
  • Adam G. Kaminski, Blossburg Borough
  • Sixth: The names of the five persons who are to act as directors until the election of their successors, and who my be given such titles as may be deemed appropriate, but who shall be subject to all the provisions of the laws of the State of Pennsylvania relating to directors, are:

  • Matthew Waddell
  • Charles Bogaczyk
  • Fred Bogaczyk
  • Harold Franke
  • John Boinske
  • Seventh: The corporation has no corporate stock. Admission to membership and the requirements there of shall be as prescribed by the By-Laws of the corporation and subject to the provisions of the Constitution and laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The corporation does not comtemplate pecuniary gain or profit, incidential or otherwise to its members
